Lettering with Colored Pencils

PrettyPrintsAndPaper's avatarPretty Prints & Paper

I usually don’t do adult coloring books – the popular ones have so much detail it actually freaks me out more than it relaxes me, but I recently received the Paige Tate coloring book which is just enough detail to be calming and really cute, to boot!  Along with the book, I got a set of Tombow colored pencils for my birthday.

Finally, a coloring book that marries my love for lettering and an un-overwhelming amount of detail! // www.prettyprintsandpaper.com Finally, a coloring book that marries my love for lettering and an un-overwhelming amount of detail! // http://www.prettyprintsandpaper.com

It’s as if I was a child and an adult all over again with this set up! This brought me to lettering.  Inspired by the way Tombow dual brush pens have a sort of gradient to them, I wanted to do something similar with colored pencils.  It’s quick and easy and you’ll be doing it in no time!

2016 Editorial Calendar

In order to remain consistent with producing our social media creative content alongside the demands of office management, I’ve decided to change the weekly updates to bi-weekly postings for Travel Tuesdays, Chief Artisan Thursdays and SBO Saturday Solution Season, beginning January 2016.  I have also added an additional segment for Writer’s (Handwritten) Wednesdays which I’m looking forward to sharing with you at a later date.

Always know and understand how much I appreciate your likes, comments and best of all, your subscriptions.  They have provided great assistance in shaping and molding future small business owner media segments for the community.  We want to host a face-to-face retreat for the coming year and Fall Season.  Feel free to continue submitting your questions and suggestions regarding TOC TOWN and Team One Bloggers Sphere.

Addressing the issues and concerns of our owners within the online environment is our priority.  2016 promises to be an exciting and challenging transition for most of our leaders.  Your support remains vital to the successful growth we experience on a day-to-day basis; your life matters.  Allowing the principles where the people within your working environment want to continue to be a witness to your growth and development is something we’re all learning and adapting through.

I know you have a lot on your plate and I do as well.  As long as we remain connected, solutions will always surface and serve us well.

Blessings!!!!

Finding Life During Adversity

whowillspeak's avatar

Senior African American Woman Hands Holding Rose FlowerIt’s been several weeks since I’ve written a piece and I apologize for taking such a long hiatus.  I’ve been dealing with personal issues close to my heart but I felt that it was important for me to check in. While I can’t share specifics due to privacy issues, it’s safe to say that it’s been a very challenging couple of months but one that is stretching my faith and personal growth. Through it all, I’m learning to focus on life’s goodness and my various other “projects”.  Which, for me, hasn’t been as easy as it sounds.

I’m sure people will read this and think “that’s so obviously simple… so what!”  The truth is, it’s not that simplistic because if it were, there would be more balance in our lives, less stress, and a measure of peace.  Lately, I’ve felt so encapsulated by the barrage of life’s events that I…

Webster Color Crush Lovin’

Aina Kristina's avatarWrite Here, Write Now

It has style and it has sass. I am absolutely smitten with the Webster Color Crush planner – this was an unexpected love at first touch. Its buttery smooth and soft PU leather adds charm and character to the planner. Before I get ahead of myself, here’s a quick peek in the box.

What’s in the box:

> 2015 Month & Week on 2 Pages Calendar
– the paper is THE best planner insert I could ever want!!
> Today page marker / ruler
> 5 Dividers plus one cover design and a sticker sheet
> Note pad

I like that it provides flexibility in it’s own way. You can change the inserts with anything that suits your needs. It comes with decorated pages that resemble scrapbook papers. I have not decided what to do with it yet but i am enjoying the monthly and weekly inserts! I like the fact that you…
